Summer Activities
Summer Activities at Deer Valley
Lift-served mountain biking, hiking and scenic rides are all open at Deer Valley this summer. In addition, mountain bike rentals and lessons will be available daily from the Snow Park Rental Shop. Deer Valley is known for it’s amazing dining, and Deer Valley Grocery~Café, Royal Street Café, and the Silver Lake Snack Shack are open so you can après after your adventure!
Fly Fishing
Chanel your inner Brad Pitt in A River Runs Through It and get out on one of Utah’s prime trout-fishing streams. Hire a guide through Trout Bum, our favorite local fishing guide service. They know all the good secret spots (shhh).
Golf
Park City may not be known for golfing, but there are plenty of beautiful places to tee off (and the cool dry breezes and blue-sky days sure do help). Enjoy Park City’s spectacular public golf courses or play the alpine greens and fairways in Park City and Heber Valley.
Jordanelle Reservoir
When you want to cool off, head to Jordanelle Reservoir for water fun. You can reserve a cabana and grill or rent a kayak, jet ski, or boat while enjoying this water and mountain views!
Summer Activities at Park City Mountain
All of the goods at the resort are open including the Alpine Slide, the Mountain Coaster, Payday Lift (for rides, hiking, and Alpine Slide access), Crescent Lift (bike haul, scenic rides, and hiking), Jupiter Java will be open for grab n’ go dining, Legacy Sports will be open for retail sales and bike rentals, and you can golf at Canyons. There’s something for everyone!
Park City Yoga Adventures
It’s the perfect time to get outside and breathe! Park City Yoga Adventures offers unique yoga classes celebrating the natural beauty of Park City. From yoga in a real-life crater to silk yoga in the woods of beautiful Blue Sky Ranch to getting your family together and OFF your phones, you’ll find classes that connect you with yourself, nature, and leave you feeling totally better.
Provo River Float
Have a blast tubing down the Provo River on custom-made, heavy-duty tubes. This 90-120 minute water adventure is strenuous and requires decent swimming skills and good physical shape. Great for high school and college age kids, or anyone up for taking on the river!
Snowbird
The Bird is always a good time. Take a ride on the impressive Aerial Tram that takes you up 2,900 vertical feet in 10 minutes to the top of Hidden Peak. You can also enjoy the Alpine Slide, Mountain Coaster, Summer Tubing, other activities for younger kids, and the Vertical Drop for those not afraid of heights. Scenic chairlifts and hiking make for the perfect summer day at Snowbird or soak up an elevated pool day with an amazing backdrop at the Cliff Spa. Dining options are also available around the resort.
Weber River Float
Round up the troops for a summer adventure (but not TOO adventurous). Float the Weber River with Barefoot Tubing who make this float trip super easy by providing you with a tube, life jacket, and a shuttle you to and from the river. A fun, easy 2-hour float!
Mountain Biking
Park City has over 450 miles of trails (WOW)! The best way to get into mountain biking (or if you just want a locals’ knowledge) is to ride with a passionate guide from White Pine Touring. Every tour is tailored specifically to your group and your riding ambitions.
